Sugar Cookie Bars Say WHAT???!!!!!……
We have an obsession with sugar cookies! Every time there is any holiday its an excuse to make them.. but sugar cookies can be a labor of love!! So when we found this recipe it became one of our new favorites! Your getting the same idea and taste but way easier! Make the cookie dough and put in your baking sheet! So easy!! You have to try!! XOXOXO

Sugar Cookie Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Frosting:
- 8 oz. cream cheese room temperature
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4-5 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 drops red food coloring
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing often each egg. Add vanilla and almond extract and mix. In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt, baking soda. Add the dry ingredients to wet ingredients and mix just until combined. Spread on a greased baking sheet. (rimmed cookie sheet) and bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes. (You don't want to over bake, just barley starting to brown.)
- Frosting:
- Mix all ingredients together, and spread on cooled cookie bars. Serve and enjoy!
